Dereham Golf Club has a thriving and vibrant Ladies Section with over 40 lady members and junior girls. Ladies play regularly in our competitions on Tuesdays and in mixed competitions which are usually at weekends.
During the summer months we enjoy a monthly Stableford and medal, alongside cup and trophy competitions.
Ladies Captain’s day is held in July and Ladies President’s Day in September. We hold a qualifying round for the Ping 4ball betterball competition and also the Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail Foursomes. We enjoy a Ladies Captain’s away day which has taken us to many different courses.
From November to March our Tuesday matches alternate between a Stableford competition and a 9 or 14 hole roll up under booked tee times. There is also a Thursday afternoon 9 hole roll up from October to April, all of which are well supported.
Dereham Ladies currently play in Division 4 of the Norfolk County Ladies Golf Summer League, the Gillieson Cup and the Carrick Cup amongst others, as well as several friendly matches against other clubs throughout the season.
The Ladies Committee is responsible for organising the Ladies Open held in July and also the Mixed Open held in October, both events being well supported by our visitors, many returning year on year.
The Ladies AGM is held on the first Tuesday of November when the Ladies Captain hands over and the new committee elected. The Ladies President hands over after two years service.
